Week 3/52: Old School, New School

Here we have an example on how the Lego fire sets have changed over the years. To the left is a 2012 set, number 4208. To the right is a fire truck from the 1981 set, number 6382. The new fire truck dwarfs that from 1981. But that 1981 set was one of my first Lego sets as a child. I even like the classic fireman. Something different in the 2012 sets are that the policemen and firemen are vastly different than those from years past..
Classic Fire Station
Okay. Maybe not another 365 project with the minifigures but a 52 week project. It will start in January here on fatcatimages.com. I’ll still be shooting with classic cameras too but the minifigure project will be limited to one a week except for those weeks in which a bonus Lego my DIA post occurs…
The set here is the classic fire station (#6382) from 1981. It was one of my first Lego sets as a child.

Toys R Us was out of the week 2 minifig – so they gave me an advance copy of week 3! Yay! I love this classic fire chief!
365-55: Labor Day
Today is a holiday here in the US. A day to honor those who have pioneered workers rights…
365-51: The Hot Seat

Okay. So our modem went out today. And AT&T customer service is less than stellar. Why doesn’t Wow offer service in our area? I don’t like AT&T. I absolutely hate Comcast. Are there any other options? I’m not thrilled…
Because the modem is out. AT&T customer service is CARP! We have an image from the archives again. I am not a happy camper…
And yes, CARP is a crappy fish…
365-38: Water Rescue

An evening rescue attempt through the murky river. Good thing this minifigure is trained for this stuff…
New Canon D10 (check out on my gear page). Testing the underwater ability of the camera. I like it!
365-11: Fireman
I’ll be off tonight. Had to drive to Grand Haven today for the Scott Kelby Worldwide Photowalk. Here’s an image from the archives. Ā A fireman minifig! A new image will post tomorrow. Enjoy!
365-2: Skywarn
Perfect! What else do I love? Severe weather! These little emergency responders are watching the sky closely. National weather service has just issued a severe thunderstorm warning. These guys are keen to weather spotting and reporting the storm events to HQ…
Thoughts?
